Daniel, cycling to try to mitigate the risk of stroke from long-term Alpha GPC use is unknown. And I doubt that anyone would be willing to pay for such a study.
Using CDP-Choline is the best alternative and has no negative consequences from long-term use. I highly recommend switching to CDP-Choline just to be safe.

Ellen, try L-Tyrosine 500 mg twice per day instead of Phenylalanine and see if that works better for you. And combine Alpha GPC with 500 mg ALCAR along with a BioActive Multi or B-Complex, Vitamin D3 (start with 5,000 IU per day and then get your labs done), and 400 mg magnesium glycinate or L-Threonate before bed. You also likely need 1,000 mg DHA per day with 300 mg Phosphatidylserine (PS) per day.
