Here you’ll find information on this List of Nootropics which has dozens and dozens of links to nootropic supplement reviews that I’ve written, and update as soon as new science becomes available. In a language that is easy to understand.

You’ll learn where each supplement comes from, how it works, the benefits you can expect, how much you should use and how often, possible side effects, and how to select from dozens of options – which one to buy.

NOTE: Every single word on Nootropics Expert is written by me. It’s not an AI or a contract copywriter.

You will also discover that everything I write about a supplement is supported by peer-reviewed clinical studies. You will not find links to other websites or blogs.

Instead, you will find dozens of clickable links in each supplement review and article to supporting and relevant clinical studies.

So you have the option of reading the same research I found and used to write my reviews and articles.

Hi David;

I have been following your website every now and then. I have sometimes experiencing nocturnal enuresis or nigthtime bedwetting. My urologist says that it is caused by breakdown of signal between the brain and the bladder. Need your advise what is the best supplement to overcome this.
Thanks

Zain not my area of expertise. But I suggest doing a general search for “best supplements for nocturnal enuresis” and you’ll get several suggestions. To learn more about each supplement come back to this website for dosage information and how each one works in your brain.

in one of your recents posts I read that you advise taking liposomal vitamin C and you include a link for the brand you use, Performance Lab vitamin C. The only problem is that it isn’t liposomal at all and doesn’t claim to be. Do you take a separate liposomal C, such as LivOn Labs liposomal C?
I am also curious if you are aware of the dubious claims for Performance Lab’s “nutrigenesis” process? From what I’ve read it is mostly marketing hype, very similar to those used by Megafood and New Chapter. the processes used by these companies do indeed increase absorption but the chemical structure of the targeted vitamin is altered and no longer functions the same as the “undigested and/or unfermented vitamin. In my opinion what is critical is to use a very high quality, highly absorbable form of each of the vitamins and by doing so there is absolutely no need for the vitamin to altered by nutrigenesis or any other similar process.
Thanks,
Joseph thorpe

Joseph, I would normally just delete a comment like yours because you clearly have not done your research. You are correct that I used to use Liposomal Vitamin C until Performance Lab introduced their NutriGenesis Vitamin C. Which is in same natural form as all of their NutriGenesis vitamins and minerals.

The process the use (which they patented) is described in more detail on this page: https://www.performancelab.com/pages/nutrigenesis. All lot of what is out there is “marketing hype”. But Performance Lab products stand above the rest. The form of these nutrients are the same chemical structure you get from food and are used by your body as soon as they are digested.

Hi David,
I’ve been following you for several years and really appreciate your comprehensive information on supplements.
I am 73 and have been stalling on getting back on ADHD medication (ritalin) which worked wonders in the past for my “off the charts” ADHD. I have recently recovered from a mold-related illness which made it difficult to swallow many pills, although I did to keep from circling the drain. I’m currently taking B complex, omega 3, Glutathione, NAC, C, D, zinc, magnesium glycinate and a probiotic. Off and on I benefit from Ashwaganda for anxiety. Have tried many supplements in the past including Bacopa, L Tyrosine and Theanine, although maybe not a high enough dose. My funds are very low or I would have booked a consultation months ago. I am fortunate to not be on any pharmaceuticals, and hope to avoid them. Can you recommend the best 1 or 2 supplements I can try to jump-start by brain again? Thanks in advance!!

Sarah, my stack which is now used by people all over the world is described on this page: https://nootropicsexpert.com/best-nootropics-for-adhd-add/. L-Tyrosine, CDP-Choline and ALCAR are the main supplements to support ADHD. But, and especially at 73 you need take the cofactors to make those work including a BioActive Multivitamin, 1000 DHA instead of Omega-3, The other supplements you are using are also needed. Just make sure you are using the right dosage for each. And at the right times of the day. For example, L-Tyrosine 500 mg twice per day. Dosages are explained on that page.

Hi there! Curious about the use of nootropics for my daughter, any insight for using them in kids? Thank you!

Kelli, I’m not qualified to make recommendations for kids. But the parents I consult with report simply using a smaller dose depending on the supplement and the age of the child.

Hi David, first of all a Big fan of your work. Hats off to your service.

I have been testing with different Nootropics for cognitive boost, but didn’t feel much of a difference. I have tried L-tyrosine (250mg) + L-theanine (150mg) + Lions Mane(250mg)
Result : Not much effect.
Tried choline/inositol – choline bitartrate (1000mg) along with the above stack. Result : No effect
Since I have caffine sensitivity I try not to use Caffine in my stack.
With no results now i have changed my whole Nootropics set.
As of now I am having :

Alpha GPC
Phosphatidylserine
Piracetam (Nootropil)
L-theanine
Along with this i am planning to buy Bacopa monnieri or Ginkgo biloba.

Could you suggest a nootropic stack ( along with their quantity used in mg) that can be made with these set to achieve a highly cognitive brain function.

    David Tomen
    May 19, 2024

Abron, your dose of L-Tyrosine is half the amount you should be using. Standard adult dosage of Tyrosine is 500 mg twice per day taken with a BioActive B-Complex.

I can’t advise you any further without know a lot more about your situation. If you want help with your stack I suggest scheduling a consultation with me.
