I started Nootropics Expert® in January 2016. You can learn more about my story and why I started Nootropics Expert over on my About Page.

How Nootropics Can Help You

You can end your search now. Because here on Nootropics Expert you’ll find the help you have been searching for. No matter the brain health problem that is making your life miserable.

Here you’ll find information on this List of Nootropics which has dozens and dozens of links to nootropic supplement reviews that I’ve written, and update as soon as new science becomes available. In a language that is easy to understand.

You’ll learn where each supplement comes from, how it works, the benefits you can expect, how much you should use and how often, possible side effects, and how to select from dozens of options – which one to buy.

NOTE: Every single word on Nootropics Expert is written by me. It’s not an AI or a contract copywriter.

You will also discover that everything I write about a supplement is supported by peer-reviewed clinical studies. You will not find links to other websites or blogs.

Instead, you will find dozens of clickable links in each supplement review and article to supporting and relevant clinical studies.

So you have the option of reading the same research I found and used to write my reviews and articles.

My hope is that if you’re overwhelmed by the fragmented information for nootropics spread across several websites, you can end your search on what has become the best nootropics website.

Quickly find out how one nootropic may interact with another. Which ones are safe. And which nootropic supplements have side effects. I will cover all that here.

Use my Nootropics Guide to get more familiar with the top nootropics and different types of cognitive enhancers and what they do. Soon you’ll be able to safely build your own nootropic stack.

I’m happy you’re here. Because you should be able to find everything you need to know about nootropics on Nootropics Expert. No need to go anywhere else.

Armed with this knowledge you can choose the best nootropics for you, and finally start experiencing the benefits you’re working to achieve.

Hi David,

Is there an up to date database somewhere you’d recommend for checking drug and herb or nutraceutical interactions? I’m on Dexedrine, as needed for now, for depression only (it’s the only thing that’s ever helped). I’m also an herbalist so I’m always wanting to know what might negate and/or embellish the effects of Dexedrine. And also what nutraceutical/herbal product I could take to keep my brain healthy if I do decide to take the Dexedrine more regularly. Thank you!

Anina, he only reliable source for drug/supplement interactions that I can find and have been using preparing for consultations is this one: https://www.drugs.com/drug_interactions.html.

The only other way is to find the mechanism of action of the drug so you do not start using something that may be contraindicated with it. I explain the mechanism of action for every supplement on this website. So it should be a straight forward comparison once you know how the drug works.

For longevity, this article (https://nootropicsexpert.com/best-nootropics-for-the-aging-brain/) is what I use and recommend to thousands including the nearly thousand people I’ve done consultations with over the years. If you need more help I’m happy to spend an hour with you. I think it’ll save you a bunch of time. (https://calendly.com/d/5c4-wg7-qzn)

What causes structural dissociation, and are there any nootropics, that could possibly help manage some of the symptoms?

I forgot to ask earlier. Is there a way out of the 1000 yard stare. I have what would be, described as ”dead or empty eyes.” I don’t know if it’s Borderline personality disorder, or PTSD (dissociation/derealization). But, it has caused people to feel uncomfortable . And I don’t like it, either

Michael, PTSD of any kind is a long-term anxiety disorder. Chronic stress changes neural networks. Cortisol creates a domino effect that hard-wires pathways between the hippocampus and amygdala. (The amygdala (lizard brain) is the area responsible for your fight-or-flight response).

The nootropics that are used for recovery remain the same. But the difference depends on the individual and what works best for you. Which takes time and a willingness to experiment. This is one of my articles that covers PTSD. https://nootropicsexpert.com/treating-post-hurricane-ptsd-with-nootropic-supplements/. You can ignore the first part of that article and skip down to the section called, “Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and Your Brain”.

Hi, Mr. Tomen.

I recently find out that, I likely have Complex Post-Tramautic Disorder. CPTSD. A few weeks ago, I reached out to you, and I have a link, you provided. With supplements/nootropics for PTSD. However, I was wondering with, CPTSD if it’s the same course of action or is there a different method (Nootropics) which I should look into? Thank You.
